To protect the identity of the family, we will refer to them as the "Robinsons". The Robinsons are a family with a pregnant mother, a working father, six children and two dogs who have been homeless and living in their small vehicle for three months. They moved to Atlanta three months ago with the promise of having someplace to live, and after only a few weeks their housing was taken away and they were forced to live in their vehicle. Shortly after becoming homeless, the brakes on their vehicle failed completely, they had two flat tires and their muffler failed, stranding them in the back parking lot of an abandoned building. To protect everyone from the rain they put all of their personal belongings and clothes outside of the car, made enough room for the children to sleep, and were forced to watch all of their belongings be ruined by water damage from the rain.
The father is employed and working as many hours as his job will allow, but after bringing in $1,200 a month they still find themselves unable to secure a hotel, car repair, food, diapers, wipes, toiletries and the medication needed by several members of their household. This family is homeless, hardworking and employed, and they need the help of the community to push them over into a better path.
