Delta Air Lines Presented Hosea Helps’ 15th Annual MLK Dinner to Honor the Late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
“Living the Legacy of Service”

ATLANTA, GA –  January 22, 2018 – On Saturday, January 20th, 2018, Hosea Helps hosted their 15th annual MLK dinner to honor the legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Held at the Georgia World Congress Center, over 3000 individuals received a full course meal and other traditional Hosea Helps services including a haircut and style, a hot meal, clothing, shoes and blankets, medical care, flu shots, fresh fruit and vegetables, free home delivery to seniors, sick and shut-ins, legal aid, free benefits applications assistance (SNAP, Medicare, WIC, Medicaid, etc.) and more.

For the third year in a row, Delta Air Lines has been the title sponsor for the annual MLK festival hosted by Hosea Helps. This event is made possible by Delta, Coca-Cola, 411 pain, Kaiser Permanente, and over 1000 volunteers. Atlanta’s premiere media outlets including Fox 5, CBS 46, 11, WSB-TV, 11Alive, V-103, and many others attended the event to help bring awareness to the annual celebration Dr. King and those who worked with him.

Since its inception, Hosea Helps, founded by Reverend Hosea Williams, has honored the legacy of Dr. King by doing endless work to help those in need and feeding thousands of destitute and homeless people throughout the year.

“Maintaining unity in our community and helping those in need is our way of honoring civil rights icons such as Dr. King, Hosea Williams, and others who dedicated their lives to the movement,“ said Hosea Helps CEO, Elisabeth Omilami.

The next major event held by Hosea Helps will be the annual Easter Dinner.
