Back to School Programs
We produce festivals that are dedicated to promoting education in low income communities. Families that come to these festivals can get a book bag filled with school supplies for every child that is with them, live entertainment all day, groceries and fresh produce to take home, clothing for the children, health care screenings, games and so much more.
Children's Christmas Party
This program provides human services benefits to families in a setting where children from low income families can enjoy the sense of joy and community that comes with the holiday spirit. Families that attend this event receive public benefits planning, toys for each child that is with them, a nice hot meal, live entertainment, face painting, games and a chance to meet Santa.
Volunteerism for Kids
Hosea Helps has many opportunities throughout the year when children can volunteer with their families or as a group. Children can help do many meaningful activities within the organization. From making grocery packages, and writing inspirational cards to the people we serve, to sorting clothes making toiletry kits, teaching children how to donate their time is important.
Women's Life Skills
This program is for unemployed and under-employed women, with a focus on women with children. This program works to improve the financial standing of the household by providing women with job readiness training, job placement, family financial planning, groceries and more. This program is free to women and includes activities for the whole family.
The Kid's Corner
This program invites families with children to join us on the major holidays and receive free haircuts and styling, clothing, medical care, a hot meal, games, activities and live entertainment in a festival setting. Traditionally we have this program every Thanksgiving, Christmas, MLK Jr. Holiday and Easter Sunday, but we can insert it into any event throughout the year.
Register Your School
Hosea Helps supports schools with students in low income families. You can use our online form to place an order for your elementary, middle or high school, college or university. Inform the proper administrative staff at your school that Hosea Helps will deliver food, water, toiletries and other benefits to the school and distribute them to the students and their families.
